The big-budget pan-Indian project, which was scheduled to hit cinemas on March 19, has now been deferred due to the prevailing geopolitical situation in the Middle East. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) In an official statement released by the production houses, the team revealed that Toxic was conceptualised as a global cinematic experience, filmed in both Kannada and English, with the intent of reaching audiences worldwide. However, the ongoing uncertainty caused by the war in the Gulf region has impacted distribution plans and the film's ability to connect with the widest possible international audience. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The statement further clarified that after years of dedicated effort and careful consideration of partners, exhibitors, and viewers across markets, the makers took the difficult decision to reschedule the release. Rocking Star Yash is all set to redefine the cinematic experience with his next ambitious project, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. In a massive update for cinema enthusiasts and trade analysts alike, the film has been officially confirmed for an IMAX release. This news ensures that the period gangster saga will be a visual powerhouse, designed to be witnessed on the largest screens possible. The confirmation came through IMAX's official investor presentation release slate, which listed Toxic as a key part of its upcoming global rollout, signaling a massive premium-format push across India and international markets. Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026. The makers have strategically locked in this date to capitalize on a massive four-day holiday weekend, coinciding with major festivals like Ugadi, Gudi Padwa, and Eid-al-Fitr. This timing, combined with the IMAX branding, is expected to provide the film with a record-shattering start at the box office, particularly in metropolitan centers where premium formats dominate collections. The film boasts one of the most elite ensemble casts in recent Indian cinema, reflecting its pan-India appeal. Yash will lead the charge, reportedly playing a dual-layered role that involves characters named Raya and Ticket. Joining him on screen are some of the biggest names in the industry, including Kiara Advani and Nayanthara in pivotal roles. The supporting cast is equally impressive, featuring Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, Akshay Oberoi, and Sudev Nair, making it one of the most star-studded productions currently under development. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({})   Set against the backdrop of Goa between the 1940s and 1970s, Toxic is described as a fairy tale for grown-ups that explores the gritty rise of a criminal empire. The narrative follows the transition from the colonial era to the emergence of local crime syndicates, delving into deep themes of power and betrayal. To bring this vision to life, the production is mounted on a reported staggering budget of approximately ₹600 crore. The technical team includes Ravi Basrur for music, Rajeev Ravi for cinematography, and Hollywood action director JJ Perry, known for his work on John Wick, who will choreograph the film's high-octane sequences. On the business front, Toxic is already creating history with its distribution deals. The theatrical rights for the Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) have reportedly been acquired by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations for a record ₹120 crore. Meanwhile, Anil Thadani's AA Films will handle the distribution in North India and Nepal, while Phars Film has secured the overseas rights for nearly ₹105 crore. These record-breaking numbers reflect the massive trade confidence in Yash following the global success of the KGF franchise. As the industry looks ahead to March 2026, Toxic is currently positioned for a historic box office showdown. The film is expected to clash with other major release, that includes Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2. However, with its IMAX confirmation and the Rocking Star factor, Toxic remains one of the most formidable contenders for the top spot.

After a hiatus of nearly four years since the record-breaking success of KGF: Chapter 2, Rocking Star Yash is all set to return to the big screen with his most ambitious project yet, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. Despite minor production delays and a reported budget hike (estimated between ₹300 Cr to ₹600 Cr), Toxic is positioned to be a safe bet for its producers. The pre-release business—driven by the craze for Yash 19—hints that the film might enter the profit zone even before it hits the theaters. Distribution rights for various territories are also being sought after at record-breaking prices. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({})   Directed by National Award-winner Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is envisioned as a gritty period gangster drama that offers a unique fairy tale for grown-ups with a dark, violent twist. Bengaluru, February 24 - Yash-fronted action spectacle Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has unveiled its male star cast, further expanding the film's gritty and stylised universe. The makers recently released first-look posters introducing key supporting characters, generating strong buzz across social media and among fans eagerly awaiting the pan-India project. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The biggest addition to the supporting cast is Akshay Oberoi, who will be seen as Tony. His character sports a vintage look with an unmistakably menacing aura, hinting at a flamboyant yet dangerous presence in the narrative. The retro styling and intense expression in the poster suggest that Tony will play a crucial role in shaping the dark world of Toxic. Another prominent name joining the ensemble is Sudev Nair, who essays the role of Karmadi. Unlike Tony’s flashy demeanour, Karmadi appears restrained, calm, and intimidating, indicating a character driven more by control and power than chaos. Sudev's inclusion adds further weight to the film’s antagonist lineup. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The makers have also introduced Balaji Manohar as Bheera. Known for his strong screen presence, Balaji's rugged look in the first poster hints at a raw and grounded character, likely operating deep within the criminal ecosystem portrayed in the film. Yash's Toxic Tease Arriving Tomorrow: Everything You Need to Know About the Rocking Star's Stylized Actioner

The wait is finally ending for millions of fans across the globe. Rocking Star Yash is all set to break his long hiatus after the record-shattering KGF: Chapter 2. As confirmed by top trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the first official Tease of his next venture, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, is scheduled to drop tomorrow, January 8, 2026, at 10:10 AM. The makers have clarified that this isn't just a trailer or a teaser, but a specialized Tease designed to set the mood for what is being called Yash's most experimental role to date. The hype surrounding Toxic is unprecedented, primarily because it marks Yash's first film in nearly four years. Since KGF 2 became the Highest Grossing Indian Film of the Year (HGOTY) in 2022, the actor has been extremely selective, spending years on the pre-production and filming of Toxic. The tagline A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups has sparked intense curiosity, suggesting a dark, gritty, and perhaps hallucinogenic action-drama that moves away from the traditional masala tropes, yet retains the larger than life aura associated with the Rocking Star. Toxic is helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, celebrated for her raw and internationally recognized storytelling in films like Moothon. This unique collaboration between a visionary director and a mass superstar like Yash is expected to deliver a high-concept cinematic experience unlike anything seen before. Produced as a joint venture between KVN Productions and Yash's own banner, Monster Mind Creations, the film is being mounted on a gargantuan budget with top-tier international technicians overseeing its high-octane action sequences and VFX. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({})   The makers have officially revealed character posters introducing the film's powerful female lineup. South Lady Superstar Nayanthara makes a lethal entry as Ganga (reportedly playing a pivotal role as Yash's sister), while Kiara Advani is introduced as Nadia, set to play the female lead. The cast also features Tara Sutaria as the fierce Rebecca, Huma Qureshi as the primary antagonist Elizabeth, and Rukmini Vasanth as the poised Mellisa. This multi-industry lineup, which also includes Akshay Oberoi and Sudev Nair, confirms Toxic as a truly global project with high-profile talent from across Indian cinema. Revealing the ONE they warned you about.10:10 AM | 08-01-2026 #ToxicTheMovie#TOXIC #TOXIConMarch19th@TheNameIsYash#Nayanthara@humasqureshi @advani_kiara @rukminitweets #TaraSutaria #GeetuMohandas @RaviBasrur #RajeevRavi #UjwalKulkarni #TPAbid #MohanBKere… pic.twitter.com/7KsfjVoh7X— KVN Productions (@KvnProductions) January 7, 2026 The release date on the poster is officially locked for March 19, 2026. This sets the stage for what trade analysts are calling the Battle of the Century. Yash's Toxic will head into a direct collision with Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 (Dhurandhar: Revenge). With Dhurandhar currently standing as one of the highest-grossing original Hindi films (chasing Pushpa 2's record), the sequel carries massive momentum. However, Yash's track record with KGF 2 (₹859.7 Cr India Net) makes Toxic the biggest possible threat to any Bollywood blockbuster. This two-way clash is expected to lead to a severe screen-sharing crunch, with both films eyeing over 5,000+ screens in India alone. Tomorrow's Tease is expected to shatter digital records on YouTube within minutes of its release, providing a first look at Yash's new avatar and the stylized world Geetu Mohandas has created.

From Kaabil to Fighter, Hrithik Roshan's Box Office Journey In The Last Decade — A Road to War 2

Mumbai, August 14 - From the emotional depth of Kaabil to the mathematical genius of Super 30, the high-octane thrills of War, the layered storytelling of Vikram Vedha, and the groundbreaking aerial spectacle of Fighter, Hrithik Roshan's filmography over the past decade showcases a rare blend of versatility and star power. Each project has expanded his range — from intense drama to big-budget action — while strengthening his position as one of Indian cinema's most bankable and ambitious actors. With War 2 on the horizon, uniting him with director Ayan Mukerji in YRF's spy universe, the stage is set for yet another milestone in a career that continues to balance mass appeal with memorable performances. ## Kaabil (2017) ## Directed by Sanjay Gupta and produced by Rakesh Roshan, Kaabil is a romantic action thriller starring Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam, alongside Ronit Roy, Rohit Roy, and Narendra Jha. It tells the story of a visually impaired couple whose life is shattered after Supriya is assaulted; when the legal system fails them, Rohan meticulously hunts down those responsible. Hrithik prepared for the role by isolating himself for days to inhabit the character’s mindset. ## Released in early 2017, the film drew praise for Hrithik's blend of vulnerability and vengeance, with Rajesh Roshan’s music and Salim–Sulaiman’s background score amplifying the emotional intensity. Notably, on February 2, 2017, Kaabil became the first Indian film to release in Pakistan after the lifting of the ban on Indian films following the 2016 Uri attack. In a gesture of admiration, Rakesh Roshan arranged a special screening of Kaabil for the legendary actor Rajinikanth, who praised both the trailer and Hrithik’s performance. At the box office, it recorded ₹104.34 crore India net, ₹145.8 crore India gross, and ₹32.3 crore overseas, for a worldwide total of ₹178.1 crore. ## Super 30 (2019) ## Directed by Vikas Bahl and written by Sanjeev Dutta, this biographical drama stars Hrithik Roshan as mathematician Anand Kumar, alongside Mrunal Thakur, Nandish Sandhu, and Pankaj Tripathi. It was the last movie produced by Phantom Films before the company disbanded amid internal controversies. The film tells the true story of Anand Kumar’s program training 30 underprivileged students for the IIT entrance exam. ## It was filmed in Patna-inspired sets at Ramnagar Fort and at Banaras Hindu University, the first Hindi film to shoot there. Over 15,000 young actors were auditioned to portray the students. Just three days after its release, Super 30 was declared tax-free in Bihar, a gesture aimed at promoting its educational message. Subsequently, a record eight Indian states granted tax-free status—an exceptional feat for a commercial Bollywood film. The film grossed over ₹147.39 crore in India net, ₹171 crore in India gross, and ₹39 crore overseas, for a worldwide total of ₹210 crore, becoming the 12th highest-grossing Hindi film of 2019. ## War (2019) ## A Yash Raj Films production directed by Siddharth Anand, this action spectacle stars Hrithik Roshan as Kabir and Tiger Shroff as Khalid, with Vaani Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, and Anupriya Goenka in supporting roles. The story follows Khalid, a loyal soldier, tasked with eliminating his former mentor Kabir, who has gone rogue. War was one of the most expensive Indian films ever made, featuring globe-trotting chase sequences and razor-sharp action that stood toe-to-toe with Hollywood standards. ## Filmed across India and exotic locations in Portugal, Italy, Finland, Sweden, Georgia, and Australia, it famously became the first Indian film to shoot an action climax on the Arctic Circle, requiring a five-month wait for shooting permission. The production crew took three months to prep, and actual filming lasted six days. The movie emerged as the biggest blockbuster of the lot with ₹318.01 crore India net, ₹375 crore India gross, ₹96 crore overseas, and a worldwide total of ₹471 crore, making it the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2019, noted for its breathtaking stunts, global scale, and slick choreography. ## Vikram Vedha (2022) ## This Hindi remake of the acclaimed Tamil film is directed by Pushkar–Gayathri and stars Hrithik Roshan as gangster Vedha and Saif Ali Khan as police officer Vikram, with Radhika Apte, Rohit Saraf, Yogita Bihani, and Sharib Hashmi in pivotal roles. The narrative follows Vikram’s pursuit of Vedha, who surrenders voluntarily and narrates morally complex stories that challenge Vikram’s black-and-white worldview. Shot across Abu Dhabi and Lucknow, the film blends neo-noir and thriller elements, with early casting rumours once linking Shah Rukh Khan to Vedha’s role. The movie fared moderately at the box office by wrapping its theatrical run with an India net collection of ₹78.90 Cr, an India gross collection of ₹93.10 Cr, and an overseas total of ₹42.34 Cr, resulting in a worldwide cumulative of ₹135.44 Cr. ## Fighter (2024) ## Starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, along with Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, and Rishabh Sawhney, the film follows an elite Indian Air Force squadron, "Air Dragons", assembled to counter a terrorist threat led by Azhar Akhtar. Mixing high-octane aerial combat with personal arcs and romance. The project was first revealed by Hrithik Roshan himself on his birthday, 10 January 2021, building early buzz. Directed by Siddharth Anand, Blending themes of patriotism and camaraderie, the film, originally slated for September 2022, was released on Republic Day 2024, marking Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s first on-screen pairing in a feature film and showcasing some of the most ambitious VFX-driven aerial sequences ever seen in Indian cinema. ## The film premiered on Republic Day weekend (25 January 2024), marking Deepika Padukone’s fourth release aligned with the national celebration—after Race 2 (2013), Padmaavat (2018), and Pathaan (2023). The movie solidified the third collaboration between Hrithik Roshan and director Siddharth Anand, each instalment spaced exactly five years apart: Bang Bang! (2014), War (2019), and now Fighter (2024). Fighter earned ₹212.75 crore in India net, ₹255 crore India gross, and ₹104 crore overseas, bringing its worldwide total to ₹359 crore. ## War 2 (2025) ## War 2 is the official sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War and the sixth instalment in the Yash Raj Films (YRF) Spy Universe. Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra, the film marked a notable shift in creative direction from the original's director, Siddharth Anand. Filming commenced in early 2024, covering multiple countries including Spain, Italy, Abu Dhabi, Japan, Russia, and India, with a projected budget nearing ₹400 crores. War 2 stakes its claim as one of the most expensive Indian spy thrillers ever made. The teaser dropped on Jr NTR’s birthday, highlighting a high-voltage face-off between Hrithik and Jr NTR, garnering significant social media buzz. The release also represented a cultural moment: not just Jr NTR's Bollywood debut but also a symbolic introduction of Hrithik to Telugu audiences.## Stay tuned...
