Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga To Keep 'A' Rated Tone For Prabhas-fronted 'Spirit'

Hyderabad, May 26 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is set to keep the 'A'-rated (18+) tone for his upcoming film Spirit, starring Pan India superstar Prabhas and actress Tripti Dimri. The movie was earlier supposed to feature Deepika Padukone as the female lead, but she has now been replaced by Tripti. ## Sandeep Vanga has directed 3 films so far, and all of them were A-rated. With Spirit, the maverick filmmaker is not going to change his style, and has reportedly conveyed the same to the lead pair. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, the cop action thriller will be a quintessential Telugu entertainer, but the director is bringing a twist to the genre by spinning in an A-rated twist. "Apart from the use of ample blood in the action scenes, Spirit will also boast a lot of bold sequences featuring the two leads", says the report. ## The report further states that SRV has conveyed the requirement of shooting bold scenes to both Prabhas and Tripti, and they have agreed to the same. Particularly for Tripti, the director has promised a comfortable and professional atmosphere on the sets amidst the shoot. ## In another big news, Pinkvilla confirmed in its report that the makers are in advanced talks with Ma Dong Seok (Don Lee) to play a key role, and the formalities are being figured out at the moment. Mumbai, December 14 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's maiden collaboration with the Pan India star Prabhas, Spirit is gearing up to commence filming early next year, and ahead of that, the makers are in the process of locking big names from Hindi film industry. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, director Sandeep Vanga is in talks with Mrunal Thakur for the female lead role opposite Prabhas. At the same time, the conversation is on with Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, who are a real-life couple, to play the negative roles in Spirit. ## "Spirit is one the most ambitious and awaited films of Indian Cinema, and the makers are going all out to have the best and most talented actors of world cinema on board. While Prabhas is locked to play the role of a cop, the conversations are in progress with Mrunal Thakur, Saif Ali Khan, and Kareena Kapoor with the latter two for the negative turn", says the report. ## The report further states that Spirit is unlike any other cop action thriller film in Indian cinema where Vanga is looking to change the way cop actioners are made in India. Mumbai, December 12 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and superstar Prabhas are teaming up for the first time for an action thriller film titled Spirit. It is one of the most anticipated Indian movies in the making and will show Prabhas playing the role of a cop for the first time in his career.## The shoot of Spirit is expected to kick off early next year, and ahead of the production commencement, a short synopsis of the film has seemingly been revealed. According to Letterboxd, Spirit is about "A disgraced cop, determined to regain his job, hunts down a ruthless international crime syndicate".## Interestingly, during the promotion of Animal (2023), Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed that the protagonist in Spirit comes from a middle-class background, in contrast to both Animal and Arjun Reddy (2017), where the male leads belonged to wealthy families. Marvel Studios Scrapped Plans For 'Eternals 2'

Mumbai, August 14 - Marvel Studios has reportedly scrapped plans to develop Eternals 2 after the first movie didn't do well at the box office. The movie was directed by Chloé Zhao and introduced new superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.## While the ending (hailed as one of the best in the MCU) of Eternals suggested the character would return in the sequel, Marvel boss Kevin Feige recently said that there are no immediate plans to make Eternals 2 and now, as per Variety, the studio has dropped plans to develop it.## The news of scrapping Eternals 2 comes from Variety reporting on actor Kit Harington discussing his MCU role.
