Box Office: 'Dragon' Roars Past 100 Crore Gross Worldwide

Chennai, March 3 - Actor-filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan is taking giant steps towards becoming the next big thing in Tamil cinema after scoring his maiden 100 crores grosser in the form of Dragon which is his only second film as a lead actor. The first film, Love Today (2022) was also a huge blockbuster but missed out on 100 crores gross by a small margin. ## Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, the coming-of-age comedy-drama has been a box-office triumph since the day it was released on February 21. On the back of positive reviews and reception from the audience, Dragon scored a big opening and showed a stronghold during weekdays. ## The film entered the second weekend after one of the biggest first-week collections for a young hero and on its 10th day, it entered the 100 crores club at the worldwide box office. In India, the movie has grossed approximately 84 crores, including around 57 crores in Tamil Naud while overseas collection is approximately 25 crores for the global 10 days' total of 109 crores gross. ## Dragon is only the second Tamil movie after Ajith Kumar's Vidaamuyarchi (136 crores gross) and the 7th Indian title of 2025 to enter the 100 crores club. The film's incredible box office performance is set to take it past Vidaamuyarchi in the coming days to make it the biggest Tamil grosser of the year so far. ## Produced by AGS Entertainment, Dragon also stars Anupama Parameswaran, Kayadu Lohar, George Maryan, K. Box Office: Thalapathy Vijay's Blockbuster 'Leo' Hits 600 Crores Worldwide In 25 Days

Chennai, November 13 - Thalapathy Vijay's mega-blockbuster Leo has become the third Tamil movie of all-time to top 600 crores at the worldwide box office, after superstar Rajinikanth-led blockbusters "2.0" and "Jailer". ## The action thriller, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is slowing down at the box office but has done its job in the first three weeks. It has completed 25 days in theatres with a worldwide gross collection of approx. 600 crores, a first for Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj. ## "Leo" is the second Tamil movie of the year to breach this box office mark after "Jailer". The 600+ crores worldwide gross includes approx. 203 crores overseas collection (studio estimates) while the domestic collection is a little over 397 crores. The movie should be able to top 400 crores in domestic gross in the next few days. ## Produced by Seven Screen Studio, "Leo" will be looking to cross "Jailer" (604.50 crores) to become the second highest-grossing Tamil movie of all time. It will also surpass "PS-1" by today or tomorrow to become the highest-grossing film ever in Tamil Nadu state and a new industry hit in the state. ## "Leo" has had a good run in the Hindi language, in which it is one of the highest-grossing Tamil movies. The movie has scored approx. 31.30 crores gross in 25 days and it will be finishing around 31.50 crores final gross. The movie could have added another 2-3 crores gross but has been reduced to a fewer number of screens after the arrival of Salman Khan's "Tiger 3". ## It is the third instalment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) and is inspired by A History of Violence (2005), an adaptation of the graphic novel of the same name.
