A Sequel To 'Desi Boyz' And A Remake of 'Omkara' Is In The Development

Mumbai, December 22 - Bollywood film producer Anand Pandit joins hands with Eros International and Parag Sanghvi to produce the sequel to Desi Boyz and the remake of Omkara. Interestingly, both the original films underperformed but gained viewership on television and have a cult following for some reasons.## Sharing the news, Anand Pandit said in a statement, "Yes, it is true that I have collaborated with Eros International & Parag Sanghvi to make a sequel and a re-make of two iconic films. Each of these two films Omkara and Desi Boyz were trailblazers in their respective eras for their storytelling, star cast, and music. They have a cult following for different reasons and it seemed like the perfect time to revisit these hits and take their stories forward for a new generation of viewers". ## The star cast of both movies is yet to be announced. Both, "Desi Boyz 2" and "Omkara" remake are currently in the scripting stage and are likely to roll out by the end of next year. ## "We are excited to collaborate with Anand Bhai to revive the magic of these films that have remained indelible in our memories. The 67th Filmfare Awards 2022 Nominations Announced: Full List

Mumbai, August 19 - The 67th Filmfare Awards returns to honor the best films and artists of the Hindi film industry for the year 2021. For 66 years, the Filmfare Awards have been the benchmark for excellence in Indian cinema. The Filmfare 2022 award ceremony of the 67th edition in association with Wolf777 will take place on August 30 at the Jio World Convention Centre in BKC, Mumbai. ## The nominations for this year's Filmfare awards were announced on August 18. T-Series Sets Theatrical Release Date of Arjun Kapoor, Tabu's 'Kuttey'

Mumbai, July 15 - Renowned filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj's son Aasmaan Bhardwaj makes his directorial debut with Arjun Kapoor's black comedy thriller, Kuttey. The movie also stars Tabu, Radhika Madan, Naseeruddin Shah, Kumud Mishra, and Konkona Sen Sharma, among others in key roles. ## The movie is produced by Luv Ranjan, Vishal Bhardwaj, Ankur Garg, and Rekha Bhardwaj while it is presented by Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar's T-Series.
