Dhvani Bhanushali calls 'Vaaste' part of her identity

Mumbai, Dec 24 (IANS) Dhvani Bhanushali, whose song 'Vaaste', became a hit, has credited the number for her success calling it a part of her identity. ## The song, released in 2019, recently entered the Global Top 100 list of YouTube's Most Liked music videos clocking more than a billion views over a period of two years. ## Talking about the chartbuster track, Dhvani says, "'Vaaste' has given me so much love from across the spectrum. I have seen youngsters and even older people come up and hum the song for me, which for me is the biggest compliment, to be able to connect with the people who have made me what I am, my audience." ## She speaks about the song's impressions over the Internet: "From the reels that were made around it to all the covers and the phenomenon it created, it's been a part of my very identity. Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh Bring Energetic Version Of Aila Re Aillaa In Sooryavanshi

Mumbai, October 21 - Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is the master of making his films larger than life and it was clearly visible in the song Aila Re Aillaa from "Sooryavanshi". The song featuring Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, and Ranveer Singh in their respective roles as Veer Sooryavanshi, Sigham, and Simmba, is high on energy and perfectly sets the mood of movie lovers. ## The revamped version of Akshay Kumar's own song from Khatta Meetha (2010) shows the three actors in the respective getups, doing their signature styles. The team Sooryavanshu couldn't have asked for a better way to start the promotion of the big-budget cop-drama film that arrives on November 5 on the occasion of Diwali. ## The song, Aila Re Aillaa is sung by Daler Mehndi and the music is recreated by Tanishk Bagchi while the new lyrics are penned by Shabbir Ahmed. Sachet Tandon on 'Masakali 2.0' criticism: I respect audience opinion

Mumbai, April 28 (IANS) Singer Sachet Tandon, the voice behind the recreated versions of the 2009 AR Rahman hit "Masakali", has reacted to all the criticism coming the new version's way saying he respects audience opinion.## "It's Tanishk Bagchi's song and I was approached by the creators to sing it. I was glad to be part of the song and I am still happy that makers thought of me. But the ultimate decision always lies in the hands of the public. It's totally up to them whether to like a particular song or not, and I truly respect their opinion," said Sachet, about his version, titled "Masakali 2.0".## "Also, I don't think that any creator would intentionally try to distort an original song. Speaking of 'Masakali 2.0', I was not its creator. I just sang it and tried to give my best," Sachet told IANS.## The original "Masakali" was composed by Rahman, written by Prasoon Joshi, and sung by Mohit Chauhan for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's 2009 film "Delhi-6". It was picturized on the film's lead pair, Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor. Although the film fared below expectations, the song has gone on to attain cult status.## Shortly after the release of "Masakali 2.0", both Rahman and Joshi expressed disappointment on social media and were joined by a huge number of fans who agreed with them.## When asked Sachet about his views on the ongoing trend of recreations, he said: "In today's time, everything is being liked by the audience. Some remakes have done amazingly well, some originals have become hits. A proper balance should be maintained."## Sachet, who gave Indian cinema a blockbuster love anthem, "Bekhayali" in collaboration with Parampara Thakur last year for the film "Kabir Singh", has now come up with the melodious track "Bewafai", which has garnered over 20 million views on YouTube.## "It's a beautiful song (and I )loved giving voice to 'Bewafai'," Sachet said, sharing that he never gives heed to "likes" and "number of views".## "For me likes and the number of views do no matter. What matters the most is the love of the audience. The best feeling is to hear compliments about your song. Now, 'Masakali 2.0' trolled by Delhi Metro and Jaipur Police!

New Delhi, April 11 (IANS) After being heavily slammed by netizens and the original song's creators alike, the recreated version of "Masakali" is now being trolled by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Jaipur Police!## "Nothing beats the original track, Plus we have a bias as we feature in it," reads a tweet on the official handle of DMRC, referring to the fact that portions of the original song, featuring Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor, were filmed on the Delhi Metro.## The Delhi Metro post didn't go unnoticed. Sonam retweeted it with a red heart emoji.## Joining the trollers, Jaipur Police too took a potshot at "Masakali 2.0"## Using a meme, Jaipur Police said they will use the latest remix to punish those who would roam unnecessarily in the city during the nationwide lockdown.## The original "Masakali", sung by Mohit Chauhan, was composed by Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman on lyrics by Prasoon Joshi. The duo had created the song for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's film "Delhi-6", and on Thursday joined a growing band of social media users who have conveyed their disappointment over the new number.## Without mentioning the name of "Masakali 2.0", Rahman tweeted: "No short cuts, properly commissioned, sleepless nights, writes and re-writes. Over 200 musicians, 365 days of creative brainstorming with the main aim to produce music that can last generations.
