Krithi Shetty Reunites With Naga Chaitanya For Venkat Prabhu's Bilingual Movie

Hyderabad, June 23 - Actress Krithi Shetty has been paired opposite Naga Chaitanya in director Venkat Prabhu's Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie. This marks the quick reunion of Shetty and Naga after their hit Telugu movie "Bangarraju", which also starred Akkineni Nagarjuna and Ramya Krishna in the leading roles. ## Srinivasaa Silver Screen which is producing the film tentatively titled NC22 announced Krithi Shetty on board as the female lead via Twitter on June 23. The studio also confirmed that the legendary Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Raja will be scoring the music for the film. ## NC22, which marks Venkat Prabhu's maiden collaboration with Naga Chaitanya, was officially launched with the Pooja ceremony on July 23. After getting delayed on multiple occasions due to the pandemic and crowded release calendar, the movie has now been slated for July 8, 2022, release. ## Directed by Vikram Kumar, the "Thank You" movie was announced in August 2020 before it was formally launched with a pooja ceremony in October 2020. Megha Akash to play female lead in Vijay Milton's 'Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan'

Chennai, Dec 25 (IANS) Actress Megha Akash will play the female lead in director Vijay Milton's much-awaited action thriller 'Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan', which has actor Vijay Antony playing the lead. ## Interestingly, the makers have now made it clear that 'Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan' will actually be a sequel to Vijay Antony's super hit film 'Salim'. ## The action-entertainer, which its makers are claiming to be the first-ever Tamil movie to be extensively shot in Daman-Diu, is to hit screens in the middle of 2022. ## Apart from Vijay Antony, Sarath Kumar will be seen playing an important character in the film. Telugu Film Nani's Gang Leader Set To Be Remade In Hindi

Mumbai, September 23: Bollywood filmmakers may be facing criticism for going after remakes of regional movies, but their love affair with remakes seems unending. With over 30 South film remakes already in the various stages of production, Bollywood filmmakers are continuously adding more and more films to this list and proving the critics right that they lack originality and are widely dependent on remakes. ## Speaking about the latest soon-to-be remade in Hindi, Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan's Tamil blockbuster "96" was recently confirmed to be remade in Hindi by "Attack" producer Ajay Kapoor and now, there are reports that Nani's one of the most loved Telugu movie "Gang Leader" is also ready for Bollywood makeover. ## According to Peepingmoon, producer Akshai Puri of 12th Street Entertainment has bought the rights to this 2019 Telugu comedy thriller directed by Vikram Kumar. He said to have got the remake rights just last week and will soon set up a team of writers to adapt the screenplay to suit it with Hindi audiences. ## Even before the reports of the Hindi remake of "Gang Leader" came out, this Nani starrer was in news recently after a rumored plot line of Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee's film emerged on social media. Speculations started doing rounds regarding the similarity between two films after a web portal claimed that "Atlee film will be a massive revenge action-entertainer that will have Shah Rukh Khan assembling a team of women, who wanted to seek revenge for their past, to rob something untouchable". ## While it's true that SRK-Atlee's much-anticipated Pan-India offering is a robbery drama, it has nothing to do with Nani's Gang Leader as the film's remake rights are with Akshai Puri. Shooting Abroad For 'Thank You' As India Battled Covid Was Upsetting: Raashii Khanna

Hyderabad, May 28, 2021: South Indian actress Raashii Khanna said that it was upsetting for her to shoot for her Telugu movie, Thank You, in a foreign location at a time when India is battling the second wave of covid-19. The actress was shooting for the film in Milan, Italy and recently returned home. ## Speaking about her experience shooting for the film in Italy, Raashii said it was safe because people in the country very responsibly observed protocol. ## "We were in the middle of the pandemic and I was at first scared to go there (Italy). Once there, I realized people in Italy were very responsible for wearing masks even though the second wave had passed. Very few people were shooting with us in the crew and all precautions had been taken", Raashii told IANS. ## "While I was there, the second wave in India intensified and I was constantly reading about what was happening in India. It was upsetting. It felt bad that our country was suffering and we were away. Now we are back and we can't do much. It's a helpless situation. We shot for what we had gone for, but it was upsetting humanly. We were constantly thinking about what was happening back home", she added. ## Raashii, who made her debut in 2013 with Madras Cafe - her only Hindi movie to date, said that shooting in Italy for "Thank You" was challenging as there were restrictions on movement because they were Indian. Some of the locations were canceled as the growing pandemic situation in India went against them. ## "There were days when we were shooting for 18 hours a day because we didn't have a choice. It wasn't like pre-pandemic that you could shoot at luxury and anywhere you wanted to", the actress added. ## Thank You is a romantic comedy film that stars Naga Chaitanya in the male lead role. It will be Raashii's second release with Naga Chaitanya after "Venky Mama", and she says her role in the film will be relatable.
