Indian Box Office Attracts 6+ Million Footfalls On National Cinema Day 2023

Mumbai, October 14 - The Multiplex Association Of India (MAI) said in a statement that National Cinema Day 2023 attracted an estimated 6+ million (60+ lakh) footfalls at the Indian box office on October 13. The second NCD received a big thumbs-up from moviegoers on over 4000 screens nationwide. ## The National Cinema Day 2022 scored 6.5 million (65 lakh) footfalls and was a massive success after the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year, the ticket prices were kept as low as Rs. 75 for NCD while this year the prices were increased to Rs. 99 per ticket for this particular day.## The participating theatre chains on NCD 2023, included PVRINOX, Cinepolis, Miraj, Mukta A2, Movie Time, Wave, M2K, MovieMax, Rajhans, NY Cinemas, and Delite, among many others which offered movie ticket prices for Rs. 99 for the whole day and for any movie.## The biggest gainers on NCD 2023 were Shah Rukh Khan's mega-blockbuster "Jawan", Akshay Kumar's "Mission Raniganj", Excel Entertainment's comic caper "Fukrey 3", Telugu comedy "Mad", and Mammootty's "Kannur Squad", among others.
