About This Movie

Pushpa: The Rule - Part 2 Pushpa 2: The Rule picks up from where the first part left off, with Pushpa Raj (Allu Arjun) rising from a small-time red sandalwood smuggler to becoming the undisputed kingpin of the trade. His power and daring attitude make him unstoppable, but it also fuels bigger rivalries. As Pushpa consolidates his empire, he faces mounting challenges not only from the police and political forces but also from his brutal new adversaries who want to snatch his throne. The film explores Pushpa's transformation into a feared don while showing how he continues to win loyalty through both fear and respect. At the heart of the story lies the intense face-off between Pushpa and the relentless cop Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat (Fahadh Faasil). Their cat-and-mouse battle escalates into a full-blown war, with Pushpa forced to prove that he is not just a man but a rule that no one can break. Amid betrayals, high-stakes power struggles, and emotional drama surrounding his family and love life with Srivalli (Rashmika Mandanna), Pushpa 2 promises to be a tale of dominance, revenge, and survival where only the strongest will prevail.

Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge Set to Challenge Premiere Records of All Time Greats

Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge Set to Challenge Premiere Records of All-Time Greats As the Indian box office landscape continues to evolve, the "Premiere Show" (Paid Previews) has become the new benchmark for a film's hype and initial pull. Following the monumental success of the first installment, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is currently on a record-shattering spree, challenging the legacy figures set by pan-Indian juggernauts like Pushpa 2, KGF 2, and the undisputed king of openings, Baahubali 2. While Baahubali 2 continues to hold the all-time North American premiere record at $4.3M, Dhurandhar 2 has already crossed the ₹30 crore gross mark in domestic paid previews and is eyeing a massive $2M+ premiere in the USA, putting it in direct competition with recent hits like Pushpa 2. Dhurandhar 2 Advance Booking: Can it Surpass KGF 2 and Jawan to Enter the All Time Top 5 Hindi Gross Records?

Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is currently witnessing a significant surge in ticket sales ahead of its grand theatrical release on March 19, 2026. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film is carrying high expectations following the massive success of its predecessor. As the countdown begins, the primary focus for trade analysts is whether the film can secure a position among the top five highest Hindi advance bookings of all time, a list currently dominated by massive event films. As of March 14th at 9:00 PM—with five days still remaining before its premiere—Dhurandhar 2 has already gathered a gross total of ₹11.65 crore(including blocked seats). Historically, major action sequels see their most significant jump in bookings during the final 48 to 72 hours. Given the current momentum and the addition of early 6 AM shows in major cities, the film is expected to see a steep climb in numbers as it nears its opening day. To enter the elite Top 5 list, Dhurandhar 2 must first surpass the ₹29.25 crore benchmark set by Animal. The current record-holders are a mix of pan-India dubbed hits and superstar-led entertainers. KGF: Chapter 2 remains the leader, being the only film to cross the ₹40 crore mark in Hindi advance sales. Meanwhile, trade data for Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has been verified; the Hindi version of the film collected ₹37.53 crore in opening day gross advance bookings in 2017, a record it held for several years. All-Time Highest Hindi Advance Bookings (Opening Day Gross) MOVIE NAME ADVANCE COLLECTION (GROSS) KGF: Chapter 2 ₹ 40.65 Cr Baahubali 2: The Conclusion ₹ 37.53 Cr Pushpa 2: The Rule ₹ 37.30 Cr Jawan ₹ 37.24 Cr Animal ₹ 29.25 Cr (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Reaching the all-time Top 5 remains a strong possibility if the film maintains its current momentum in key territories like Delhi-NCR and Mumbai. With a massive nationwide release spanning over 9,500 shows and high demand for premium formats like IMAX and 4DX, the final advance booking total is on track to challenge the records established by recent blockbusters like Jawan and Pushpa 2. With the final countdown officially underway, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is moving with unstoppable momentum toward the record books. Given the humungous demand and record-breaking trends across all major circuits, the film is now set to disrupt the all-time charts, solidifying its legacy as one of the most dominant advance booking successes in the history of Hindi cinema.

Allu Arjun Clinches Seventh Filmfare Trophy For Pushpa 2 Matching Megastar Chiranjeevi's Competitive Award Record

Allu Arjun has etched his name further into the annals of Telugu cinema history, securing the Best Actor (Telugu) trophy for Pushpa 2: The Rule at the 70th Filmfare Awards South. The victory, announced on February 21, 2026, marks the actor's seventh competitive Filmfare win, bringing his total tally level with the long-standing record held by Megastar Chiranjeevi. The win for Pushpa 2 follows the massive critical and commercial success of the Sukumar-directed sequel, which saw Allu Arjun reprise his role as the titular red-sander smuggler turned kingpin. His performance, characterized by intense physicality and a distinct dialect, has already earned him significant national acclaim, with this latest Black Lady serving as a testament to his dominance in the leading man category. Data highlights a remarkable efficiency in Allu Arjun's award trajectory. The actor reached the seven-award milestone from just 13 nominations, whereas Megastar Chiranjeevi achieved his seven Best Actor trophies from 21 nominations. While Chiranjeevi still holds the record for the highest number of wins specifically in the Best Actor category, Allu Arjun's cumulative competitive trophies—spanning Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Critics' Choice—cement his status as the most decorated actor of the current generation. Chiranjeevi's legendary status is anchored by a diverse filmography that saw him dominate the Best Actor category across three decades. His record-holding journey began with the nuanced Subhalekha (1982) and the family drama Vijetha (1985). He later secured critical acclaim for the K. Viswanath-directed Aapathbandhavudu (1992) and massive commercial success with the mass entertainer Muta Mesthri (1993). The Megastar's later wins for the dual-role performance in Sneham Kosam (1999), the industry-redefining blockbuster Indra (2002), and the iconic comedic turn in Shankar Dada MBBS (2004) set a benchmark for stardom that remained unchallenged for over twenty years. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({})   Allu Arjun's journey to seven Filmfare awards includes five Best Actor trophies for Parugu, Vedam, Race Gurram, Pushpa: The Rise, and now Pushpa 2: The Rule. He also secured a Best Supporting Actor win for his portrayal of Gona Ganna Reddy in Rudhramadevi and a Best Actor (Critics) award for Sarrainodu. This consistent performance across diverse genres has allowed him to close the gap with the industry's senior legends in record time. The success of Pushpa 2: The Rule at the Filmfare Awards comes on the heels of its record-breaking box office run, where it surpassed the collections of its predecessor to become one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time. With a background score by Devi Sri Prasad and high-octane sequences choreographed by top-tier stunt directors, the film has set new benchmarks for the Masala genre.

Dhurandhar Surpasses Chhaava to Become the Longest Trending Indian Movies on BookMyShow: Check Out the Complete Top 10 List

BookMyShow's Trending feature has evolved into a definitive metric for theatrical longevity, moving beyond opening weekend hype to reflect consistent, ground-level ticket sales. In the latest update for 2026, two major releases—the spy-actioner Dhurandhar and the historical biopic Chhaava—have set a new benchmark for audience retention, officially becoming the longest-trending Indian films since the feature's inception. As of mid-February 2026, both Dhurandhar has clocked 59 days on the charts, surpassing the previous record of 58 days held by the 2025 all-time blockbuster, Chhaava. This sustained digital presence mirrors their box office dominance; Dhurandhar has utilized its high-octane scale to drive repeat viewership, while Chhaava has relied on strong word-of-mouth to maintain steady footfalls. Together, they have effectively monopolized the theatrical window for nearly two months, turning impressive starts into massive lifetime collections. The list is dominated by content-driven hits and massive spectacles, with Malayalam cinema showing incredible retention with entries like Premalu, Manjummel Boys, and the recent Lokah Chapter 1. Premalu (53 Days): Holds the #1 spot for the longest-trending Malayalam movie in the post-feature era. It crossed 1 million ticket sales and registered over 86.6K+ votes, indicating high user interaction. 5. Mahavatar Narasimha (42 Days): Registered 500k+ ticket sales within just the first three days. The animated spectacle holds an exceptional rating of 9.6/10 based on over 325K+ votes. The trending data proves that while opening day numbers grab headlines, longevity is determined by content. Stree 2 and Premalu are prime examples of films that refused to slow down. However, the current dominance of Dhurandhar that approached the 60-day mark—signals a healthy theatrical ecosystem in 2026 where audiences are supporting films for months, not just weeks.

Pushpa 2: The Rule Enters All-Time Top 10 Highest Grossing Indian Films in Japan; Surpasses Dhoom 3

Allu Arjun's global popularity continues to scale new heights as his latest blockbuster, Pushpa 2: The Rule, has officially entered the elite list of the Top 10 highest-grossing Indian films in Japan. Released across Japanese territories on January 16, 2026, the film has achieved this significant milestone in just 14 days of its theatrical run, showcasing the growing footprint of the Pushpa brand in international markets. As of the conclusion of its second week, Pushpa 2 has amassed a total collection of ¥105 million. With this performance, it has officially overtaken the long-standing record of Aamir Khan's Dhoom 3, which had held the tenth spot with ¥104.5 million since 2014. The film's steady trajectory indicates strong word-of-mouth, particularly in major cities like Tokyo and Osaka, where the high-octane action and Allu Arjun's performance have resonated with the local audience. The Japanese box office for Indian films has historically been dominated by the works of SS Rajamouli and the enduring legacy of Rajinikanth. While RRR remains the undisputed leader with a monumental ¥2.42 billion, Pushpa 2's entry into the Top 10 is notable as it represents the first major breakthrough for the franchise in this territory. Given the current momentum, trade analysts expect the film to challenge the lifetime figures of Rajinikanth's Enthiran and SS Rajamouli's Magadheera in the coming weeks. Indian Films in Japan: Market Insights & Facts 1. The RRR Phenomenon: Record Holder (First Indian film to cross the ¥2 Billion mark in Japan) 2. While cultural classics like 3 Idiots and English Vinglish achieved their Top 5 status as sleeper hits through consistent word-of-mouth, the recent entry of Pushpa 2: The Rule signifies a rapid shift in audience preference. By amassing ¥105 Million in just 14 days, the Allu Arjun-starrer successfully displaced Aamir Khan's Dhoom 3 (¥104.5 Million) from the all-time Top 10. Border 2 Box Office:Misses Top 10 Highest First Week Collections by less than 5 Crores; See Full Top 15 List!

The Indian box office has witnessed a seismic shift in 2026, with sequels and mass entertainers rewriting historical records. While the First Day collection often grabs headlines, the First Week (7 Days) Collection is the ultimate litmus test for a film's long-term sustainability. In the recently updated list of the all-time highest opening week collections for Hindi/Bollywood movies, several 2025 and 2026 releases have made their way into the Top 15. The most recent entry, Border 2, has secured the 11th position, narrowly missing out on a spot in the Top 10. To understand where Border 2 stands, one must look at the giants it is competing with. Pushpa 2: The Rule remains at the undisputed #1 spot with a staggering 425.6 Cr, a figure that currently seems untouchable for any upcoming release. Collecting ₹224.25 Cr in its first week, it has narrowly missed out on the Top 10 by less than ₹5 Cr (currently held by Hrithik Roshan's War). What makes Border 2's performance unique is its Mass Momentum. While films like Dhurandhar and Chhaava had massive lifetime totals, Border 2 has shown a faster sprinting speed in its first 7 days. It has already pushed Salman Khan's Tiger Zinda Hai (206 Cr) and Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju (202 Cr) down the ladder, proving that patriotism-driven sequels are the current flavor of the Indian audience. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({})   The Unbeatable Trio: Pushpa 2, Pathaan, and Jawan are the only three films to have breached the ₹340 Cr mark in their opening week. Worldwide Efficiency: Despite being #13 in its first week, Dhurandhar holds the record for one of the highest Worldwide Gross-to-Net ratios in the list, finishing at a massive ₹1301.5 Cr. The South Dominance: Out of the Top 15 Hindi first-week openers, four films (Pushpa 2, Jawan, KGF 2, Baahubali 2) have strong South Indian roots, showcasing the power of Pan-India cinema. Sequel Power: Six out of the Top 15 films are sequels or part of established franchises (Pushpa 2, Jawan, Stree 2, Gadar 2, KGF 2, Border 2), indicating that franchise value is the safest bet for a massive start. Animal: Trendsetter (Highest first-week for an A-rated film) 5. Stree 2: ₹ 229.55 Cr(Hindi Net) (Highest first week for a horror-comedy) While its first-week journey ends at #11, its steady trending suggests it could challenge the lifetime collections of Gadar 2 and Baahubali 2. The theatrical landscape in 2026 continues to be dominated by high-octane sequels, and Border 2 is currently the captain of that ship.

Pushpa 2: The Rule netted ₹332.10 crore in its first five days, setting a new all-time record for the highest opening momentum in Hindi cinema. With this, the film has comfortably moved past the previous benchmarks set by Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan and Pathaan within the same 120-hour window. Notably, this record comes at a time when the ₹200 crore mark—once a lifetime goal—is being hit in just five days by films like Border 2 and Gadar 2. Pushpa 2: The Rule holds the record for the highest 5-day opening in the Hindi market, collecting ₹332.10 crore. It is also the only film on this list to surpass the ₹800 crore mark in total Hindi net collections. Following closely are Shah Rukh Khan's 2023 releases, Jawan and Pathaan, which earned ₹282.58 crore and ₹271.00 crore respectively within their first five days. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({})   While the 5-day window tracks immediate momentum, the total Hindi net figures reveal interesting trends in longevity. For instance, Stree 2 opened with ₹221.05 crore in five days but eventually outearned both Jawan and Pathaan in the domestic Hindi market, finishing with ₹597.99 crore. Similarly, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion remains a significant data point. Despite having a lower 5-day start (₹198.25 crore) compared to more recent releases, it maintains the highest worldwide gross on this list at ₹1,788.06 crore, illustrating the difference in market dynamics between 2017 and 2026. The list also includes Border 2, which reached the ₹200 crore milestone exactly on its fifth day. This performance aligns it with KGF Chapter 2, which earned ₹219.56 crore in the same timeframe. The data suggests that for a film to enter the All-Time Blockbuster category in the current market, a minimum 5-day Hindi net of ₹200 crore is becoming the standard benchmark. Pushpa 2 to Border 2: Comparing the Opening Velocity of Bollywood's Top Earners

In recent years, the metric for box office success in the Hindi film industry has shifted toward opening-week velocity. With increased screen counts and higher ticket pricing for event films, the time taken to reach the ₹200 crore milestone has significantly reduced. Current data shows that the top-performing films now consistently hit this mark within the first week of release. Pushpa 2: The Rule currently holds the record for the fastest film to reach ₹200 crore net in the Hindi market. Reaching the milestone in just 3 days, the film eventually secured a total Hindi net collection of ₹812.14 crore. Its global performance stands at ₹1,742.1 crore, making it the highest-grossing film on this list in terms of domestic Hindi earnings. Three major releases share the second-fastest spot, each taking 4 days to cross the ₹200 crore threshold. Jawan, led by Shah Rukh Khan, reached the mark with a four-day total of ₹252.08 crore. It is closely followed by Animal (₹216.64 crore in 4 days) and Pathaan (₹212.5 crore in 4 days). While Jawan finished with the highest lifetime Hindi collection among these three at ₹582.31 crore, all three films maintained strong momentum to earn All-Time Blockbuster status. The five-day bracket is dominated by high-profile sequels and franchise films. Stree 2, Gadar 2, and KGF Chapter 2 all crossed ₹200 crore on their fifth day of release. Joining them is the recent release Border 2, which reached the ₹200 crore mark in 5 days. Data indicates that these films benefited from established brand value, allowing for high occupancy rates during their initial weekdays. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({})   Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which originally set the standard for pan-India performance, reached the ₹200 crore mark in 6 days. Although newer releases have surpassed its speed due to expanded distribution, it remains one of the highest total earners with a Hindi net of ₹510.99 crore. Rounding out the top ten is Chhaava, which reached the milestone in 7 days, finishing its run with a strong Hindi net of ₹585.7 crore. Dhurandhar Makes History: Joins Elite ₹1000 Cr India Gross Club; Becomes First Single-Language Film to Hit the Milestone

The Indian box office has witnessed a historic moment as the mega-epic Dhurandhar officially crossed the monumental ₹1000 Crore Gross mark in India. In doing so, it has entered a legendary territory previously occupied only by three of the biggest cinematic giants in history: Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, KGF: Chapter 2, and Pushpa 2: The Rule. This Gigantic Blockbuster status solidifies the film's position as one of the most successful cinematic ventures ever produced in the country. What makes this achievement truly unprecedented is that Dhurandhar has become the first Indian film in history to gross over ₹1000 Crore with a single language. While previous record-holders relied on massive multi-language dubbed versions to reach the four-figure mark, the ground-level connection and repeat value of Dhurandhar in its primary language have set a new benchmark for the industry. This feat proves that a powerful narrative, when executed with grand vision, can achieve global-scale numbers even through a single-language stronghold. Building on this unprecedented momentum, the makers are wasting no time in bringing the next chapter to life. Even as the first film continues to draw crowds, work is in full swing for the sequel, Dhurandhar 2, which is officially slated for a grand theatrical release on March 19, 2026. To ensure the sequel matches the technical and emotional scale of its predecessor, the production team recently commenced a crucial 3-day patch shoot in Vile Parle, Mumbai. These sessions are focused on fine-tuning key high-intensity moments for the second installment. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({})   The spotlight during this ongoing schedule is firmly on Arjun Rampal, who reprises his role as the cerebral antagonist Major Iqbal. Described as the mastermind behind the most complex terror strikes in the franchise's universe, Rampal's performance in the upcoming sequel is being touted as even more intense and layered. With the March 19 release fast approaching, these final touches are being added to ensure the sequel lives up to the massive legacy created by the first part. Following its record-breaking theatrical journey, the digital premiere of Dhurandhar is officially set for January 30, 2026, on Netflix. After achieving the historic ₹1000 Crore India Gross milestone, the film's OTT arrival has generated massive buzz among digital audiences. This late January release on Netflix is strategically timed to allow viewers to experience the epic saga at home just weeks before the much-anticipated sequel, Dhurandhar 2, hits the big screens on March 19. With Dhurandhar joining the ranks, there are now only four films in the history of Indian cinema to have breached the ₹1000 Crore gross mark within the domestic market. Dhurandhar vs Pushpa 2 Box Office: Week-Wise Comparison Between Two Biggest Hindi Blockbusters

Mumbai, January 22 - The Hindi box office has witnessed a historic shift as Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar has officially emerged as the biggest Hindi net grosser of all time, collecting a staggering 830 crore net in India so far. The action-packed entertainer recently overtook Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule, which wrapped up its Hindi theatrical run with an extraordinary 812 crore net. While Pushpa 2 stormed the box office with a thunderous opening and dominated the initial weeks, its collections started dropping big after 4-5 weeks, which is completely normal for a frontloaded starter. Despite that, the film rewrote records for a dubbed release and proved the massive pull of the Pushpa franchise in the Hindi belt, driven by Allu Arjun's growing popularity and the brand value created by the first part. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) On the other hand, Dhurandhar showcased exceptional long-run stamina, with exceptional weekday holds and sustained collections well into its later weeks. It has been owning weekly records since the second week, which is remarkable for an adult-rated film. Backed by positive word of mouth and strong recall value, the film steadily closed the gap before eventually surpassing Pushpa 2 to claim the all-time crown. The week-wise trend shows that after dominating the first week, Pushpa 2 started lagging behind the Bollywood mega blockbuster. With Dhurandhar now reigning at the top and Pushpa 2 firmly placed as a close second, these two mega blockbusters have redefined benchmarks for Hindi box office performance, underlining the growing dominance of big-scale, mass-driven cinema in India. Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule Opens Low At Japan Box Office

Hyderabad, January 18 - Icon Star Allu Arjun's all-time blockbuster Pushpa 2: The Rule has taken a surprisingly slow start at the Japanese box office. The Sukumar-directed action drama, which released in Japan on January 16, failed to generate strong opening-day traction, despite extensive promotions and the actor's presence in Tokyo ahead of release. As per early box office tracking, Pushpa 2 recorded only 886 admissions, a modest number on its first day, significantly lower than expectations for a film of its scale. In contrast, films like RRR (8,230 admissions), Saaho (6,510), and Kalki 2898 AD (3,700) recorded 1,000+ footfalls on their opening day in Japan. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The opening was not enough for Pushpa 2 to enter the list of top-performing Indian films in Japan in terms of footfalls, indicating limited initial reach among local audiences. The muted response comes as a surprise, especially considering the strong promotional push and the growing curiosity for Indian cinema in Japan following the success of titles like RRR. While Pushpa 2 boasts high-octane action, mass appeal, and Allu Arjun's star power, the film appears to have struggled to convert awareness into ticket sales in its opening phase. It needs to be seen if it can find audiences in the coming days, as movies can have a long run in Japan if they connect with locals. That said, the film's performance in Japan remains a small part of its overall global box office journey. Pushpa 2: The Rule has already cemented its place as one of the biggest Indian blockbusters worldwide, delivering record-breaking numbers across several markets. It grossed over 1740 crores worldwide in its original run, placing itself as the third biggest Indian grosser ever. Stay tuned...

The Pushpa fever has officially crossed the shores of the Indian subcontinent and landed in the Land of the Rising Sun. Following its record-shattering run in India and Western markets, the Japanese dubbed version of Pushpa 2: The Rule has officially hit theaters across Japan today. Tokyo city alone has charted a significant number of shows, catering to the growing Japanese fanbase that has been eagerly awaiting the Rule of Pushpa Raj. The early numbers from Japan indicate a solid foundation for the film's journey. Reports from today's opening shows suggest that Pushpa 2 has already sold 480+ tickets for Day 1 through tracked screenings, grossing approximately ¥9,90,000 (roughly ₹5.65 Lakhs / $6,255). While these are initial figures from early shows, the widespread theater count and the Allu Arjun Factor suggest that as word of mouth spreads among the local Japanese audience, the collections are expected to see a sharp spike over the weekend. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({})   This Japanese expansion comes at a time when Pushpa 2: The Rule has already cemented its status as one of the greatest Indian blockbusters of all time. The film has been a titan at the domestic box office, consistently shattering records for Day 1 collections and weekend totals.
