Box Office: Hollywood Horror Thriller 'The Nun II' Crosses 50 Crores Gross In India

Mumbai, September 29 - Hollywood gothic supernatural horror film The Nun II has emerged as a success despite clashing with Shah Rukh Khan's mega-blockbuster "Jawan" at the Indian box office. ## "The Nun 2" has completed 3 weeks at the Indian box office with gross collection crossing the 50 crores mark. In 22 days so far, the movie has grossed 51.10 crores (43.30 crores net) in all versions, including 28 crores gross (23.70 crores net) in the original English version.## Serving as a sequel to "The Nun" (2018) and the eighth instalment in The Conjuring Universe franchise, "The Nun 2" has become the 4th highest-grossing Hollywood horror thriller movie in India as far as the net collection is concerned. ## The movie has surpassed "Evil Dead Rise" (31+ crores net), which was released earlier this year and is behind its predecessor "The Nun" (46.50 crores). Warner Bros. Pictures India ' Horror-Thriller 'The Nun 2' Sets Clash With Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan'

Mumbai, July 7 - One of the leading Hollywood studios, Warner Bros. Pictures had a big success with its horror-thriller film "Evil Dead Rise" at the Indian box office earlier this year. It clashed with Salman Khan's "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" but managed to attract Indian audiences as it grossed over 37 crores. ## The studio is now gearing up for its next horror-thriller "The Nun 2". The 9th installment in The Conjuring Universe franchise and the sequel to "The Nun" (2018), the movie has been announced to release on September 8 this year in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. ## Directed by Michael Chaves, "The Nun 2" will clash with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan" which is scheduled to release on September 7. "Jawan", unlike KKBKKJ, is a far bigger hyped movie that is expected to grab a maximum number of screens in the Hindi belt.## "The Nun 2", meanwhile, is a bigger IP than "Evil Dead Rise" which could help the movie to get some traction despite facing a clash with one of the most anticipated Indian movies.
