Box Office: Black Panther 2, Uunchai, And Yashoda First Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, November 13 - Marvel Studios' Black Panther: Wakanda Forver clocks a very good opening weekend at the Indian box office, grossing approx. 47 crores ($5.83M). It grossed an estimated 17 crores on Sunday for all languages, jumping approx. 5% from Saturday collection. ## "Black Panther 2", however, scored lower as compared to the previous Marvel movies in India in 2022. The last Marvel movie "Thor: Love and Thunder" had grossed approx. 55 crores in the first three days while "Doctor Strange 2" scored a gigantic approx. 94 crores in the opening weekend. BP2 will need to put a strong hold over the weekdays for a good lifetime score at the Indian box office.## Sooraj Barjatya's adventure drama film Uunchai has shown another big jump on Sunday. With approx. 40% growth from Saturday, the movie scored an estimated 6 crores gross (5.05 crores net), pushing total gross collection to approx. 12.40 crores (10.30 crores net) in 3 days, which is a good result for a film that has a limited release. ## The advance booking of "Uunchai" for Monday is decent, which indicates it might top the opening day numbers on its 4th day. If the trend remains throughout the first week, the movie could well become a rare mid-range hit for Bollywood at the box office. ## Meanwhile, Samantha Ruth Prabhu's Yashoda is having an almost similar day at the box office as Saturday. Mumbai, November 12 - Marvel Studios' Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has had a good opening day at the Indian box office, grossing approx. 15 crores (12.50 crores net) for all languages. The superhero movie witnesses a decent growth of around 10% for an estimated 16 crores gross (13.50 crores net).## The English version of "Black Panther 2" remained the top contributor with an estimated 11 crores gross. It was around 9 crores on the first day. The Hindi version is too faring well with an estimated approx. 3.50 crores gross while the rest versions are low. The opening weekend is expected to be somewhere between 47-50 crores gross. ## Suraj Barjatya's adventure drama Uunchai starring Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, and Boman Irani, among others, witnesses a huge jump on the second day. It scored approx. 2.10 crores gross (1.81 crores net) on the first day, and with nearly a 100% jump, the second-day estimate collection is around 4 crores gross (3.50 crores net). ## The word of mouth for "Uunchai" is positive and it seems Barjatya's slice-of-life cinema is attracting audiences to theaters. It is worth noting that the movie has been released on limited screens and more screens are expected to be added in the coming days. The two-day total collection of "Uunchai" is around 6.10 crores gross.## Samantha Ruth Prabhu's thriller film Yashoda too witnessed good growth on the second day after scoring approx. 3.60 crores gross (3.06 crores net) on the first day. With a jump of over 25%, the film scored an estimated 4.50-4.75 crores gross on the second day/first Saturday for all languages, taking the total collection to over 8 crores gross in two days. It has received positive reviews and looks like a sure shot hit at the box office. ## It will be interesting to see how the aforementioned films perform on weekdays, especially "Uunchai" and "Yashoda". Mumbai, November 11 - Marvel Studios' latest tentpole, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever easily topped the Indian box office on its opening day. The superhero sequel of the 2018's film grossed an estimated approx. 15 crores for all languages. ## The opening of "Wakanda Forever" is lower as compared to the previous Marvel movies, this may be because Black Panther is not as popular as other Marvel characters. The last Marvel flick, "Thor: Love and Thunder" had grossed 21.50 crores on opening day. "Black Panther 2", however, has a better opening than DC's "recently release "Black Adam" which grossed approx 8 crores on the first day.## Samantha Ruth Prabhu's thriller film Yashoda was another talked about film of the day and it grossed an estimated approx. 3.75 crores in all languages, with major contributions from the original Telugu version. The word of mouth for the movie is positive and it is expected to have a very good opening weekend. ## Sooraj Barjatya's directorial Uunchai starring Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, and Boman Irani, among others, takes a decent to good opening with an estimated approx. 2.50 crores gross on around 500 screens. Samantha wraps up first shoot of 'Yashoda' on Xmas eve

Chennai, Dec 25 (IANS) The team of actress Samantha's upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual 'Yashoda' has wrapped up the film's first schedule. ## Directed by Hari and Harish, the film also features actors Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Unni Mukundan in pivotal roles. ## Says producer Sivalenka Prasad, "We're making this Telugu-Tamil film in an uncompromising fashion. We plan to release the film in Kannada, Malayalam & Hindi also simultaneously." ## Pointing out that the first schedule, which commenced on December 6, came to an end on December 24, the producer says, "Sampath Raj, Shatru, Madhurima, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada and Priyanka Sharma played pivotal scenes in this schedule. Rao Ramesh & Murali Sharma are also playing major roles in the film." ## The producer informs that the second schedule will commence from January 3 and go on till January 12. ## "The final schedule will be from January 20 to March 31," he says and points out that despite being debutants, the directors were making the film in a neat and confident manner. ## Stating that cameraman Sukumar's work in the film was brilliant, the producer says they have not compromised on the budget to ensure that the film has technical and visual grandeur. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk For More Such Updates.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu Begins Shooting For Her Next, Titled 'Yashoda'

Hyderabad, December 6 - Samantha Ruth Prabhu is in full action after taking a short break from movies and shuttling her personal issues. Samantha recently completed the first item number of her career in Allu Arjun's "Pushpa: The Rise" and now begins filming for her next film, titled "Yashoda".## The movie, which will feature Samantha in the title role of an author, has started its regular shooting today in Gandipet, the outskirts of Hyderabad after the Pooja Ceremony. Said to be a new-age thriller, "Yashoda" will be released in five Indian languages including Hindi. ## Directed by director duo Hari and Harish, "Yashoda" is being produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the banners of Sridevi Movies. The makers are planning to complete the entire shooting by March 2022 and the release date will be announced after that. Mani Sharma composes music for the film which has dialogues by Pulagam Chinnarayana and Dr. Challa Bhagya Lakshmi.
