Yash's Toxic Postponed Amid Ongoing War In The Middle East; New Date Locked
Bengaluru, March 4 - The makers of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, starring Rocking Star Yash, have officially announced the postponement of the film's theatrical release. The big-budget pan-Indian project, which was scheduled to hit cinemas on March 19, has now been deferred due to the prevailing geopolitical situation in the Middle East. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) In an official statement released by the production houses, the team revealed that Toxic was conceptualised as a global cinematic experience, filmed in both Kannada and English, with the intent of reaching audiences worldwide. However, the ongoing uncertainty caused by the war in the Gulf region has impacted distribution plans and the film's ability to connect with the widest possible international audience. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The statement further clarified that after years of dedicated effort and careful consideration of partners, exhibitors, and viewers across markets, the makers took the difficult decision to reschedule the release. They emphasised that the move was made in the best interest of ensuring a smooth and truly global theatrical rollout. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) With this, the film's high-profile clash with Dhurandhar 2 has also been averted. The makers have now locked June 4, 2026, as the new worldwide release date for Toxic in English and multiple Indian languages. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is produced by KVN Productions in association with Monster Mind Creations. With Yash returning to the big screen after KGF Chapter 2, expectations remain sky-high, and the team has assured fans that the wait will be worth it as they aim to deliver a cinematic experience on a truly international scale. It also stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Akshay Oberoi, among others, in key roles. Stay tuned...
